Harry Fest - was Saturday, May 30th

!!! WE WON !!!

  We have just been notified that “Otsego Public School Bands" are the winners of HARRY FEST 2009.    Thank you to all that help accomplish this goal.  Your continued support just shows the strong commitment everyone has for this program and our kids.  
The following is the breakdown of the standings:

We can’t succeed without you!

We are competing with six other area schools for seven awards ranging from $5,000 to $500.00. The awards are given out based on the number of people we bring to the foundation’s annual event called Harry Fest. Harry Fest is a day-long celebration with live music, food, rides and entertainment for all ages, and it’s free to attend. It is held at Bittersweet Ski Resort on Saturday May 30th, from noon until midnight. When you arrive, go to the administration tent near the stage and there you will find a register with our school name on it.

Simply sign it and your signature will count towards the total we need to win. Your entire family can sign and each signature counts. Whether you show up just long enough to sign or whether you stay for the entire day, every signature counts and the school with the most wins the $5,000! There couldn’t be an easier way for us to raise $5,000 and we don’t want to risk losing to the other schools! So, please ….plan on attending and do everything you can to get other people there as well and sign the Otsego register.

The 2008-2009 School Year Draws to an End

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

On May 19th elections were held and two new board members were elected. Wayne Kline was elected to secretary and John Pula was elected to treasurer as new members. Denny Stelzer and Joe Kokmeyer will return for another year as vice president and president respectively. We are all looking forward for another new chapter to be written.

Cyndi and Karen have decided to retire from their positions after serving 3 ½ years for Cyndi and 2 years for Karen. Both have been a great asset to the program and have helped bring the program to where it is today. I would like to thank them for their time and talents they have given.

Please show them your thanks when you see them. We will continue to meet as a board through the summer to continue our preparations for the upcoming fall activities. Have a great and safe weekend and summer and we’ll see you all again at band camp or the fairbooth.
