Jazz Band is a course offered at Otsego High School in the 2nd & 3rd trimester of the school year. In this small group setting students learn the fundamentals of jazz performance, improvisation, and soloing. Class registration is by interest and approval of the Directors.
Middle School Jazz Band is an after school activity that meets weekly on Wednesday in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Jazz Band gives the middle school students a chance to explore different styles of music in a fun extracurricular environment.
Both bands perform in the spring at a jazz concert held at Otsego TOP Pavillion. The High School Jazz Band holds other performances throughout winter and spring. Keep your eyes open for these exciting concerts!
