Ensembles of four or more students are selected by the Directors for the purpose of performing at District and State Solo and Ensemble Festivals each year. These ensembles give students a chance to play in a smaller setting focused on music specific to their instrument. This helps build skills and aptitude for their chosen instrument, as well as create a well rounded performer.
Practices will be once a week, more if necessary, and students will be notified of the schedule well in advance. Students must be a member of either Concert or Symphonic Band. Middle School students also attend Solo and Ensemble Festivals in the spring.
