Otsego Band Booster meetings are held monthly in the Otsego High School Band room for all High School and Middle School parents. Meetings include valuable information concerning the future of the band program, upcoming events, fundraisers, and other topics. Please join us and bring your suggestions and ideas! 2026-27 Board Nominations
Otsego Band Booster Board nominations for the 2026-27 school year are now open.
Nominations can be submitted now through April 20th and will be brought to the Board during the meeting on April 21, 2026.
You may nominate yourself or someone else you feel may be good for the role. If nominating someone else, please make sure the person you nominate is willing and able to fulfill that position.
Voting will take place at the May Band Booster meeting.
The Executive Board consists of four (or five) elected officers and the directors of the instrumental music department. Officers of this organization are to be elected for a one-year term at the annual spring meeting.
President (Co-President)
The President (Co-President) presides at all meetings of the organization and of the executive board, calls regular and special meetings as provided by the by-laws.
The President (Co-President) makes emergency decisions that may arise, until the next meeting of the executive board or a general membership meeting.
The President (Co-President) appoints all committees and is an ex-officio member of all committees, however is not required to attend committee meetings.
Vice President
The Vice President performs all the duties of the president in the event of the president’s absence, inability, disability, resignation, and assists the president.
The Vice President presides over all fundraiser activities, provides the chairperson responsible for the fundraiser, and provides up-dated information to the executive board.
Treasurer
The Treasurer pays all obligations incurred by the association, supervises and keeps a written report of all transactions and presents reports at business meetings.
The Treasurer works with all fundraising committee chairs and is responsible for all funds due the organization.
The Treasurer provides information necessary for the executive board to establish the yearly booster budget.
Secretary
The Secretary keeps a record of the proceedings of general meetings and meetings of the executive board.
The Secretary is responsible for correspondence relative to the organization.
Committee Members
Members at large may become a committee chairperson, designated by the president and may be present at various executive board meetings. Members in this capacity serve only in an advisory role, unless designated by the executive board, and then they may become a voting member of the executive board.
All meetings are held in the Otsego High School Band room
Unless otherwise noted, meetings are at 7:00 pm
Meetings are open to the public, all parents of band students are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Band Booster Mission
The mission of the Otsego Band Boosters is to cooperate with those in charge of the instrumental music department and to keep and bring this program to its highest degree of excellence; to arouse and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various phases of the instrumental music department of the Otsego Public Schools; and to provide money and physical support for those music projects which are elected by the membership and directors.
